In the land of Kannada Nadu the Kannada language film songs are ill treated by the radio stations – more than six radio stations are likely to face strong strictures as the first wild attack has come from very mild music director, lyricist, and director of Kannada films V Manohar.

O Mallige director used his ‘Indradhanush’ on Friday night against the radio stations. They have not given opportunity to air the songs quoting lame reasons. It is not to the quality of elite class, Mumbai singers have not rendered the voice, quality committee has not approved etc.

Who are the radio stations to approve the quality of songs, who are they to say it is not to the elite class….V Manohar was angry. He has decided radio stations not to broadcast his songs, he has decided in future films the producer not to give advertisements for such channels, put up a new clause from the Kannada Film Producers Association, not to participate in any of the radio station programs, not to give opinions when they ask etc.. Indhradhanush was not out of stock.

The logical argument of V Manohar is also correct. The print and electronic media take the advertisements and give abundant support for the publicity of the film. Even after getting Rs.8 lakhs of ads the Radio Stations do not support via airing songs. This is another strong ‘Dhanush’ from V Manohar.

The attack seems to be strong for Radio Stations. Lahari Recording Company Velu has decided to write a letter to the government of India to cancel the licenses of all the radio channels that are violating the rules.
